Natural Hair Tips For The Lazy Naturalista

Hello beautiful people. Welcome to my blog once again. If you’re reading this, then that means you’re lazy naturalista or you’re just curious. So my hair was three years 4 days ago, and I thought to share simple tips to keep those curls popping. If you’re that person who admires natural hair, but you feel like natural hair is stressful or you’re a busy person, and you feel like you wont have the time to care for it, then this post is for you.

1. Follow a monthly hair care routine

Wash your hair every two weeks, put it in a protective styling that can easily allow for wigs. Apply conditioner and oils on your protective style every week to keep it from drying out and eventually breaking.

2. Invest in wigs

You’re not going to have the time to style your hair every day, so this takes me back to my first point. Wigs are a great way to grow your natural hair, switch up your looks and save you from bad hair days. I own more than 7 wigs and they’re major life savers 😩

3. Use the basics

Stop listening to people who make natural hair seem too complicated. You don’t need all those products sis, nothing wrong in trying out products, however the basics is all you need.

  • A good leave in conditioner
  • Oils ( coconut oil, carrot oil, castor oil etc)
  • A good deep conditioner
  • A good shampoo (without sulphate and all those hair damaging chemicals, google)
  • Conditioner (with great slip) for detangling.

4. Avoid leaving your hair in a fro all the time

So you don’t want to leave your hair all out all the time because it’s more susceptible to tangles and knots because you don’t want to spend wash day detangling your hair.

5. Use the salon more frequently

A salon will do all the work for you, all you need to do is chill and let your hair be pampered by professionals. Please let me sound this note of warning, never go to a salon that’s only experts in textured hair, visit a natural hair salon. They’ll mess up your hair and give you advice that you should relax your hair. If you’re a really busy naturalista, this point should solve all your worries 😊.

I’ve come to the end of this post, and I hope you guys enjoyed it. If you’re a lazy naturalista yourself, please feel free to share ideas or tips you may have.

Thank you for reading.

Fisayo ❤

See, you just shared my life as a naturalista in one post. I am the laziest naturalista ever and how my hair is still so full and growing like this amazes me. I am a huge fan of wigs and truly they are life savers unless it’s the weather is harsh, that’s when I get to ditch them and wear cornrows with extensions.

And I don’t even know how to leave my hair in a fro for too long, hence I wear more cornrows and apply products.

And truly, one do not need too much products, just a few basic ones and your hair will thank you.

And these pictures are too lit!
