Life Lately – Finding Balance

Natural Hair popping

Hello pumpkins ( removes cobwebs πŸ˜‚). Life lately has been crazy, that’s why I’ve been away for long. And I apologize. I’ve not been active here because I couldn’t really deal with blogging at some point, however I have been active on my social media pages. I’m @fisayoade on Instagram and @fisayoade_ on Twitter, so you can catch up with me there.

So back to the matter at hand;

What have I been doing?

Trying to find the balance for my spiritual life, work, personal life, relationships, health, blog etc
lol. The past month, I had an ear infection so it just shook things up for me. Which leads me to my next point.

What I’m Thankful for

I’m grateful for a lot, especially the little things I take for granted. It felt like a light bulb lit up when I had that ear infection, in the sense that it made me realize how truly vulnerable we all are as humans, just one discomfort can cause a thousand other discomforts. I’m also thankful for God’s protection over my life and my family’s.

What I’m Loving

Currently in love with creating video content. I’m starting my YouTube chanel very soon, I probably sound like a broken record already (to some of my friends). Lol anyway, I’ve been posting video content on my IGTV and Instagram page, and I’m learning so much about editing (basics) and I’m super excited about it.

What I’m Listening to

I’ve been listening to Johnny Drille, his music is so beautiful. I came across his page on IG during one of my aimless stalking sessions. My current favorite is Romeo and Juliet followed my Hallelujah ft Simi.

What I’m Craving

Not really craving anything except money πŸ˜‚. I hope that counts.

What I’m Reading

I just finished a book on Attitude by John C maxwell and one of the things I learned is having the right attitude about success. He talked about how success isn’t wealth, a special feeling, a specific possession or an achievement.

The continual search for happiness is a primary reason why so many people are miserable – John C Maxwell

I learned that success is a journey, it’s more than ticking off a list of goals on your journal. Success is knowing your purpose and growing to reach a maximum potential and helping others achieve theirs too.

What I’m Feeling

Right now, at this point in my life, I feel like I’m ready to give it all it takes to achieve my goals regardless of what anyone else thinks. I’m unapologetic about making progress, no more playing small, shyness, shame or fear because I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Even if things do not go as expected, we move!

Finally, I’m currently working on creating quality content and helping black women appreciate their natural hair and generally helping people know who they are in Christ.

I have come to the end of this post. I really want to thank everyone who stuck around all this while, everyone following, liking, leaving encouraging comments, thank you so much!

I’ve been wanting to start a YouTube channel but it’s stressful asf. Please enlighten me small. I feel it’s a bit stressful for Android users, cos most of the editing videos I’ve watched are quite easier on iPhones.

    1. Thanks Halima 😘. And I believe you can totally pull this off, I currently use filmorago to edit and it’s quite easy, still testing other apps but this one works for me fine.. For now. I don’t think you need an iPhone, there’s so much Androids can do, lol but an iPhone won’t be bad anyway.

      1. Alright dear. Will try and download that.
I’ve been practising with Samsung video editor and movie maker tho.
