Let me start by saying that I had a recent crush ( I thought I was too old for this π). Felt like I was sixteen again. Anyway it disappeared in no time, maybe π. From our first conversation, I believed I was attracted to this person. Conversation was cheesy, nothing too deep. But I’m so sure it wasn’t the conversation that caused an attraction at first, it was just looks.
I realized that most of the time, we get carried away by physical beauty or looks, and we’re quick to overlook things people do, just because they’re attractive. They say packaging is important but of what use is a beautifully wrapped box of worms? Are you just attractive on the outside but just the opposite on the inside? I wish we all will pay as much attention to our behavior as much as we do our physical looks. What if we tried filtering our words as much as we did our instagram photos, maybe there will be less drama. How about some highlighting and brightening on our attitude, and how we treat or talk to people?
No one is exempted from this, including me. Believe me, It’s so hard not to be rude these days because it seems like every Nigerian is angry and people just lash out unnecessarily, especially in this portharcourt city π. Either way we can still choose to be nice to people. Don’t be that person who’s a beautifully wrapped piece of emptiness or ugliness. I believe your physical attributes are there to compliment your real beauty, which is your heart. Don’t be a container without a content, don’t be empty or ugly on the inside. The world is already a difficult place, so why make it worse?
I heard that a little kindness doesn’t kill, you should try it sometime
Btw my crush wasn’t a container without a content π
Amen. Please God, let us grow and display the fruit of the Spirit, and not be ‘whitewashed tombs’.
