God Is Not Mad At You

I have been here so many times in the past,  where I felt like I wasn’t worthy enough to talk about God or do the things Christians “should do.” So every time I sinned, I believed God was angry with me, and stayed mad at me even when I had asked for forgiveness. I just couldn’t believe he’d forgiven me. So I allowed guilt plague me because I felt  I should be punished for what I had done. So I chose to punish myself. Smh.

When we do this, we should realize that what we’re saying is that we’re responsible for our righteousness. When we don’t sin, we’re good and when we do we’re bad. We’re saying that we’re good all by ourselves. Your good deeds do not make you good. You are good because of what Jesus did for you on that cross many years ago. Stop taking salvation into your own hands by neglecting what Christ did for you. 

It’s okay to feel bad for a while, at least you know the Holy Spirit is still in there. But the real mistake we often make is sitting back feeling too condemned to pray, read our bibles or even go to church. No!  Like my pastor said, when you find yourself in that address that is the more reason why you should read your bible more and pray harder. If you don’t do this, you may end up backsliding which is not an option. 

I want you to know that God is not mad at you! So you have no right to stay mad at your self. The devil, who is a consistent loser “acuser of the brethren” of course will not let it go when he sees Gods child falling short. He goes to God reporting you but dont give the devil that satisfaction. Do not allow God turn around and see you feeling bad, staying in guilt and shame. Don’t you know you are the righteousness of God in christ Jesus?-“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2nd corinthians 5:21.” He already took that shame and guilt away! Let God shut the devil up with that alone. Don’t stay down when you fall. You are not that powerful to think you have lost your salvation because you sinned. 

Do you know how special you are? His love for you should make you uncomfortable with sin. That is how it works for me, when I’m about to do something I know God won’t be happy with, I just imagine him looking down on me, waiting to see what I will do. I dont want to hurt him or even worse give the devil something to brag about. You should try that technique. More importantly you ask the holy spirit to help you, and He will.

Remember that it is who the faither loves he corrects. His love for you is unending and everlasting, not even your sin can seperate you from his love. Just stay in Jesus, you may slip and fall sometimes but dont stay down there. Remember God is too in love with you to stay mad at you. He loves you like crazy. Never forget that ❤.

I pray for everyone reading this, struggling with one addiction or the other, be free in Jesus in name. I pray that the holy spirit breathes upon you right now and opens up your eyes to see that you are not capable of sinning anymore because you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I pray that youre free from guilt and shame in Jesus name
